ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR

Hollywood Agency, an award-winning integrated communications firm, is seeking an Account Supervisor. The Account Supervisor (AS) is the day-to-day account contact for the client and team as it relates to strategy, serving as a guide and project manager. In this role, the individual will have fully developed media relations and project management skills and will be expected to further develop those skills needed to effectively manage larger accounts independently or with minimal oversight from a senior manager.

Our ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of agency experience. Candidates should be self-starters and able to juggle a multitude of accounts and tasks.

The position is mainly located in our Hingham Shipyard office. Conveniently accessible by public transportation (including ferry) from Boston, the agency enjoys sweeping harbor views in a dynamic multi-use community with shops and restaurants.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Lead consumer and B2B account teams in execution of client programs via successful project management of daily account activity with minimal-to-no supervision and guidance

  • Set the framework and drive the development of comprehensive PR plans by leading and contributing to the strategic and tactical planning process; oversee implementation of the plan with junior staff

  • Play a lead role in running client calls, training junior staff to follow suit

  • Manage team to ensure work and hours remain within the scope and allocated budget

  • Ensure team members are meeting client and internal deadlines

  • Manage professional development of the team

  • Master measurement and other tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Coveragebook) for client and/or new business reporting

  • Meet or exceed all deadlines and ensure junior team members follow suit

  • Take an active role in new business, identifying and pursuing leads

  • Increase the visibility of HWD through a commitment to networking

  • Continually conceptualize opportunities to upsell programs and services

  • Maintain reports including team hours, forecasts and over/under tracking

Client Service Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior level resource to clients

  • Develop strong and productive relationships with the client by interacting with them daily to provide strategic counsel on programs, the industry and competitive landscape, in an effort to retain clients long-term

  • Lead weekly and monthly reporting to the client

  • Monitor budgets and communicate any financial concerns with clients

  • Troubleshoot issues and challenges in a timely manner, thoughtfully and strategically, elevating to senior team members if necessary

Team Management Responsibilities

  • Oversee growth and professional development of the team

  • Serve as mentor and resource to junior staff at the agency as it relates to client service, new business development, industry networking, staff training and development, and quality control

  • Hold team accountable for media relations programs that lead to editorial results

  • Understand how to achieve and measure results, and teach the team to do the same

  • Cultivate the writing skills of junior staff by providing consistent counsel and training opportunities to help them develop exemplary writing skills

Media Relations Responsibilities

  • Oversee development of comprehensive and strategic media relations plans

  • Drive media relations programs by ensuring established account strategies convert into editorial results

  • Produce high-impact results that capture targeted media attention, through carefully cultivated and maintained relationships with key media

  • Understand how to achieve and measure results, and manage the team to do the same

  • Serve as a resource for junior staff helping to brainstorm opportunities and review pitches

Social Media and Influencer Relations Responsibilities

  • Understand the role of PR across the broader owned, earned, social, search and paid media landscapes

  • Oversee and play a clear leadership role in the development of campaigns

  • Basic knowledge of the business/operations back-end of the Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn platforms

  • Manage team members’ content curation, including calendar development and copy editing, ensuring deadlines are met and responses are delivered in a timely manner

  • Make solid recommendations to clients on the use of organic and paid content, including curating and maximizing audience-relevant content

  • Monitor social media channels to ensure things are running smoothly

  • Lead measurement and reporting efforts; evaluate data to adjust efforts for maximum client return

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Hollywood Agency, an award-winning integrated communications firm, is seeking a dynamic account executive (AE) to join its rapidly growing team. The AE will drive media relations campaigns, influencer relations, and organic social media content development and community management. The role may support both B2C and B2B clients.


Our ideal candidate will have three years of agency experience. Candidates should be self-starters and able to juggle a multitude of tasks. An acute attention to detail – meaning error-free written correspondence – is a requirement. Comfort level in pitching media by email and phone a must. 


Work-from-home is available to all employees on a limited basis, but the position is mainly located in our Hingham Shipyard office, contingent upon vaccination. Media Relations Responsibilities

  • Write compelling and error-free press releases, pitches and client memos

  • Proactively identify opportunities, formulate pitches and place client coverage

  • Consistently produce high-impact results that deliver upon goals as identified by managers and clients

  • Mentor interns and AAEs on media relations 

Social Media Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of the business/operations back-end of the Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn platforms; knowledge and willingness to learn other platforms like TikTok and Clubhouse

  • Draft content calendars, delivering client-ready work to managers for review 

  • Collect and/or ideate and create necessary content (imagery, graphics, GIFs, videos)

  • Assist with execution of daily posts, community management; ensuring deadlines are met and customer service responses are delivered in a timely manner

  • Elevate any customer issues to a manager in a timely manner and work together toward a solution

PAID SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Hollywood Agency, a nationally recognized public relations and integrated communications firm, is seeking a dynamic paid digital marketer to join its growing team. The Paid Social Media Manager will be responsible for the design and implementation paid social programs across the agency’s clientele.

 

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of digital trends, tools and best practices, including campaign analysis and reporting. Demonstrated experience with copywriting, social media management and experience creating, executing and managing multiple campaigns is required.

Key responsibilities include

  • Create and execute paid social media campaigns for clients; channels include but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest

  • Daily/ongoing management of campaigns to ensure optimization

  • Create copy for client social media channels; provide general asset recommendations

  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve outcomes

  • Innovate and present new marketing platforms and strategies

  • Report upon the impact of strategies and make recommendations for further improvements

Qualifications include

  • Paid social media experience across social channels

  • Strong copywriting skills; experience writing copy for brand social channels is a plus

  • Ability to communicate digital findings to non-digital savvy clients

  • Must have a general understanding of WordPress and Shopify platforms; experience managing a website on either platform is a plus

  • Ability to run multiple types of campaigns including conversion campaigns

  • Demonstrated ability to develop campaigns for a range of budgets – from hundreds to thousands per month

  • A strong understanding of analytics and measurement tools for various platforms

  • Must have experience with Facebook Business Manager and Google Analytics

  • Must have experience with at least one social media management program; Hootsuite, HubSpot, Buffer, Sprout Social, Falcon.io, etc.

  • Ability to analyze existing digital assets and assess what’s missing

  • Commitment to continuous learning of platform intricacies and digital trends

  • Comfort working across multiple brands, managing several brand initiatives

  • Influencer relations experience a plus

  • Team player with the ability to multi-task and lead projects with a positive attitude

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
