Ringing our own Bell: Recent Media Highlights
Marketing as a whole is about telling an organization’s story in a manner that is going to resonate with target audiences. Here at Hollywood Agency, our team of journalist-led experts work with organizations to develop impactful content and to ensure it’s delivered in the proper manner to the right audience. We utilize a number of communication vehicles to ensure client stories are seen and heard by stakeholders – native platforms like the company’s website and social channels, events and activations, and paid advertisement placement.
Unlike posting carefully curated content on the aforementioned channels, securing media placements is challenging. Anyone can jazz up their own story and post it to their website, but an independent, objective third party presenting that story gives it legitimacy.
With the enormous value of media telling an organization’s story comes the challenge of convincing them that the story is newsworthy and interesting to their audience.
Through strategy, persistence, relationships and a good story, here are a few of our clients’ many recent highlights that we’ve secured:
South Shore Conservatory
South Shore Conservatory’s Creative Arts Therapy program continues to make a positive impact during a time of ongoing collective stress and uncertainty.
SSC’s highly qualified therapists and specialists use the arts and creative processes to help people of all ages maximize their abilities and improve health and wellness.
With compelling audio and visuals, we wanted to help tell the story of help, hope and resilience in a classroom setting. While working with SSC and Weymouth Public Schools to ensure we had access to these story elements, we sought out a particular journalist at WCVB-TV with exceptional storytelling ability and presented him an impactful narrative focused on the human interest.
The Company Theatre
For The Company Theatre, generating local interest for multiple shows per year means constantly creating and reinventing new storylines. For “Something Rotten,” this storyline was that of a well-liked, longtime Weymouth drama instructor whose family encouraged him to get back on stage.
And who doesn’t love a couple of corgis making their on-stage debut? Gregory and Laci were bound to steal the show as they performed in “The Audience.”

With circumstances that required a quick turnaround to announce Dispatch’s acquisition of Youreka, in three days, we developed pitches, held a spokesperson prep call, edited the press release announcement, ran media audits, and built a media list covering a number of industry and subject verticals including M&A, Salesforce integration, workforce management, field services, gig economies, SaaS and several others. We seamlessly pivoted to pitching key outlets under embargo, securing multiple interviews in advance of the announcement. On announcement day, we launched a broader media outreach campaign.
The two-week campaign resulted in 30+ earned placements and more than 100,000 media impressions. Here’s one:
