Welcome, Steve!

Hello, I’m Steve. I’m a member of the team at Hollywood Agency. I like to tell stories. Really that’s all you need to know about me. Don’t get me wrong – in a few paragraphs I’m going to boast insufferably about some of my career accomplishments. But none of it matters. Experience can only take someone so far. What matters is what I am going to achieve moving forward. See, I’m on a journey to become the greatest talent the PR industry has ever known.

That might seem like hyperbole and an absurd impossibility, but I’m dead serious. My greatest takeaway to date in my career is that you’re only as good as the team that surrounds you. If you want to know why I’m so enthusiastic about joining Hollywood Agency, read that last sentence again. The team here is incredible. I’m here to be a leader as much as I’m here to follow, listen and learn.

Ok, time to brag for a bit. In previous positions, I’ve been fortunate to have opportunities to work with sitting U.S. Cabinet members, Senators, Ambassadors, elite pro athletes (Lebron James, Tiger Woods, David Ortiz, Michaela Shiffrin – E.L.I.T.E.), top educators, scientists and researchers, Hall of Fame rock stars, mega-famous Hollywood actors and producers, and a whole smorgasbord of other awesome people.

My specialty is media relations. I’ve worked with clients large and small to land positive coverage with nearly every major news outlet locally, nationally and even internationally – The New York Times, NPR Morning Edition, ABC Good Morning America, The Boston Globe (which I also had the incredible privilege of representing for 7 years), The Associated Press, NBC, CBS, ESPN, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News and countless publications across technology, travel, lifestyle, sports and more.

Prior to PR, I worked in Boston TV for more than a decade. I was part of a team awarded the prestigious Alfred I. DuPont - Columbia University Award and George Foster Peabody Award for coverage of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. I also have my name on a national Emmy Award. I also served as CBS Boston’s resident beer blogger.

On a personal note, my wife and four children keep me going. We live at the center point between Boston, Worcester, the South Shore and Providence, and our yard is big enough to raise backyard chickens. On weekends, we’re usually driving in one of those directions to go hiking and explore somewhere new. I have too many hobbies to list and not enough time in the day to maintain them all. I’m a Rhode Island native, spent my high school years working in a restaurant that serves hot wieners (which typically requires an explanation for non-Rhode Islanders), and made my own bit of national news one time for getting my flu shot from Uber.

Finally, let’s get back to why I’m here. For prospective clients looking for an experienced PR executive to take them to the next level, I’m one of plenty in the industry. But it’s the make-up of this team that sets Hollywood apart from the rest. Come work with us and we’ll prove it.

Here’s the part where I leave you with a quote – a movie quote, obviously. Because we’re Hollywood!

“In the courtroom, whoever tells the best story, wins.” – The character of John Quincy Adams in Amistad.

Same goes for the court of public opinion. Now let’s tell some stories.
