Girl Scouts of Eastern Mass. and Suffolk, launches STEM-based “Daisies Who Build” curriculum and patch program
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) revealed its newest STEM curriculum in partnership with Suffolk. “Daisies Who Build” will introduce Girl Scouts in kindergarten and first grade to construction careers while teaching them the fundamentals of building processes through hands-on experiential learning. The program serves as an expansion of existing beloved curricula, “Juniors Who Build,” “Brownies Who Build,” and “Cadettes Who Build.”
 
To kick off the “Daisies Who Build” curriculum with GSEMA, Suffolk hosted an event at its Boston headquarters, welcoming a group of 65 Girl Scouts from throughout the region. The group received a tour of the national contractor’s headquarters, engaged in a hands-on STEM building activity alongside some of Suffolk’s leaders, and was presented with patches and certificates for completing the program.

GSEMA invited local media to Girl Scout Cookie booth sales in their area. This was an opportunity for media to see firsthand how Girl Scouts run their cookie businesses and develop skill that stick with these young entrepreneurs beyond cookie season.

Girl Scouts’ Super Bowl rivalry highlights regional businesses
The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts and the Girl Scouts of Western Washington competed in a friendly wager on the outcome of the Super Bowl. The friendly competition between the two council CEOs highlights the rivalry between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. The wager coincides with the annual Girl Scout cookie season and is intended to showcase regional businesses while supporting local scout programs. The organization whose team loses will send a gift basket filled with local products to the winning Girl Scout troops.

Girl Scouts of Central and Western Mass. and Cornerstone Bank launch financial literacy partnership
Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts (GSCWM) announced a new partnership with Cornerstone Bank to deliver a year-long, hands-on financial literacy partnership for girls across central and western Massachusetts. Running March 2, 2026 through March 2, 2027, the program equips Girl Scouts with essential money management, financial planning, and practical skills they can use for a lifetime.
